I found this recipe in an old cookbook. The book doesn’t have a cover or back and has several missing pages. If I had to guess, I would say it was a church cookbook but I could not begin to guess from where. Undoubtably, one of my garage sale or estate sale pickups, I admit I have never actually read this cookbook. The other night before bed, I grabbed a few book and was thumbing through them when I stumbled upon this gem. I have to admit that I was skeptical of this three ingredient recipe, but boy am I glad I tried it. I have never heard of anyone making eggs this way! But now that I know this secret ingredient, I can see this for breakfast in many of my future mornings.
Secret Ingredient Eggs
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 Can Undiluted Chicken Noodle Soup
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
Instructions
- Whisk eggs in a mixing bowl.
- Add soup and mix.
- Scramble mixture in a heated buttered pan.

I saw a snack in the floor cooking these eggs.
This is even better with undiluted Chicken with Rice soup. The Chicken with rice soup makes a great gravy for breakfast with biscuits or for lunch or dinner with chicken.
