How to Make This Savory Shrimp and Mushroom Skillet
Sauté the Aromatics
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion, celery, and parsley, then sauté until soft and fragrant.
Cook the Mushrooms
Stir in the chopped mushrooms and cook until tender. They’ll release their moisture and soak up all that buttery goodness!
Add the Garlic
Toss in the chopped garlic and cook for another minute—just until fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn!
Cook the Shrimp
Now for the star of the dish—shrimp! Add them to the pan and cook until pink and tender, about 2-3 minutes per side. Shrimp cook quickly, so keep an eye on them!
Make It Creamy
Once the shrimp are cooked, stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce is thick and creamy.
Serve and Enjoy!
Spoon the creamy shrimp and mushroom mixture over a warm bed of rice or pasta, and enjoy every comforting bite!

What a delicious soup!! I would love to make it. It’s great that the recipe has special meaning and it’s a soup your niece makes. We love shrimp so this is a definite must try. I love whe my 35 and 37-year-old sons try new recipes. They love to cook on their big grills and smokers and invite for us to try. I would love to make this shrimp dinner for them. My daughter in MT doesn’t do much cooking but she tries. My boys watched me a lot and now they have many new dishes to make.
Don’t think there was a critter in this video or was there a grasshopper on the floor.
Happy cooking!!!
