Ingredients
  

  • 1 16-oz can refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage pork or turkey
  • 1 packet country gravy mix or 2 cups homemade gravy
  • 2 cups milk for gravy
  • 6 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk for eggs
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: ¼ tsp crushed red pepper for heat

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir the gravy mix and 2 cups milk into the cooked sausage. Simmer until thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Scatter biscuit pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits, spreading evenly so all pieces are coated.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, ½ cup milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour over the casserole.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until the center is set and the top is golden.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
