Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough or crescent sheets
  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

For the Topping

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Optional Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing any seams.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Spread evenly over the dough layer.
  • Unroll the second can of crescent dough and carefully lay it over the cream cheese layer. Gently press seams together if needed.
  • In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour evenly over the top of the casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until golden brown and set. Let cool slightly before glazing or slicing.
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over the warm casserole before serving.
