Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar packed
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 cups blended oatmeal see note below
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 24 oz milk chocolate chips
  • 1 7 oz Hershey’s milk chocolate bar, grated
  • 3 cups chopped nuts walnuts or pecans work great!

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, blended oatmeal(🔍 Note: To make blended oatmeal ,measure out 5 cups of old-fashioned oats and pulse them in a blender or food processor until it resembles fine flour), salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar, and chopped nuts.
  • Roll dough into balls and place them about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
