Equipment

  • Loaf pan, round baking dish, or bundt pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl
  • Pastry brush optional
  • Knife or kitchen shears

Ingredients

For the Pull-Apart Bread:

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing packets reserved
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Valentine Add-Ins:

  • Pink or red sprinkles
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Chopped strawberries
  • White chocolate chips

For the Glaze (optional but recommended):

  • Reserved icing from cinnamon rolls
  • 2-3 tbsp cream or milk
  • Powdered sugar as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking dish generously.
  • Open the cinnamon roll cans and cut each roll into 4–6 bite-size pieces. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Add the cinnamon roll pieces and toss gently until coated.
  • Pour the melted butter and vanilla over the dough and stir carefully so everything is evenly covered.
  • Transfer the coated cinnamon roll pieces into your prepared baking dish, layering loosely so there are air pockets for rising. Sprinkle any optional add-ins between layers if using.
  • Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and baked through. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
  • Warm the reserved icing packets with cream or milk until pourable. Drizzle generously over the warm bread. Add sprinkles for a festive Valentine touch if desired.
  • Serve warm and let everyone pull apart their own pieces.
